A Rose in Flight
One day a rose
blows through a town
the wind subsides
it touches down
It finds a home
inside two hearts
it grows to bloom
and lives restart
but soon comes cold
and naked chill
through sad neglect
the rose falls ill
and comes a day
the wind returns
the rose takes flight
the wheel turns
And in a dream
an island beach
I risk it all
to you I reach
to build on land
or drift to sea
you must choose
remorselessly
and if it's done
no more to say
should you desire
I'll go away
If you believe
that love has wings
could love alone
restore a thing?
I watched a rose
blow through this town
the wind subside
and touched it down

Her twisted bush, with bleeding head
Exquisite
The Fair Rose
O rose, thy gorgeous fragrant smell
brings joy to those in whom it dwells.
Thy strong uniqueness and delicate
