My transition from war to family and its negatives issues, have been rough but livible. If you take the oath as an American Soldier, you vowed to place your country before yourself. When placing your country before yourself, there was a promise to keep sound both mental and physically. Duty as define in our Leadership values (LDRSHIP), is defined as the fulfillment of obligations. It is your duty to fulfill all onbligations to your country. The war isn't over once you have left the war zone. Another obligation relies within the structures of your community. How do you conduct yourself to make your community safer for your children, your neighbors children, and the families of those in surrounding areas around you.
Family life can be a burden in its own. It also never a walk in the park when transitioning from the battle zone to the civilian world. No longer can you justify be guy from a long days work in the field serving your country. In the civilian were there all laws to abide that we all agreed to feed our community; The laws are seen as we thought are best for governing our daily live. Your family cannot guess what all happened while in the field; your family is still subject to its government. Your family is also subject to fear. Your Family is also part of well-being, as subject to the Command Policies and UCMJ.
What are the fear of transitioning for war to family. The main fear is the soldier that asks, "Does my family still loves me?" This should be considered as the main threat. There is also the soldier living in fear that his/her family may think he/she may finally lose it and harm, or even kill their love one. Why would this matter? The soldier joined the Military for better options in life, not to be greeting back home with betrayal. These feeling of betrayal could lead to a history of failure. Failure can turn a great soldier to nor more than a waste of citizen. Save our country's life please.
I myself was subject to a deployment of 15 months, during Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF). My company is an amazing company! We have only been back in the United Stated for several months. I chose to keep focus on life. I feel every soldier that took the oath as a soldier should do the same. Look at the United States as a whole. Do not look at what may ale you or what down options that may come around. The same methods used to advance in the military is the same methods used to advance in life. Be Army Strong! HOAH! click
