We were instant friends and that will never end.
A couple of kindred souls never knowing our roles.
I was always here and you were always there, distance is like a snare.
But now I'm always here and you're everywhere, so into space I stare.
It all changed today, to every ones dismay.
My life will go on and you'll make me strong.
Your dreams are now seen through the tears that we stream.
They hit the ground and splatter like they didn't even matter.
I'm writing again, looking for answers again.
Promise I will live for you but, still wish it wasn't true.
Hold my head up high and this time I'll try.
We had beautiful times and your demons committed these crimes.
Life was a trip so to the other side you slip.
You will be missed. We won't remember you for this.
I'll think of your heart and how it consumed people from the start.
I'll think of your friendship and how it felt like a kinship.
I'll think of your soul or all the stories I've told.
I'll smile to the sky because you were always that guy.
And then at the bend, I get forgiven my sins.
We'll write on the wind, a story that doesn't end.

All I can say is
Thank you for being there

Who is my best friend?
Is it right to say?
You are my best friend ever
at least, until today.
We always have tomorrow
