Windows Vista is the most good looking operating system that Microsoft ever done. However this new operating system is the slowest of all and if you already used it you know about what I am talking about. This article's mission is to tell you how oyu can speed up your operating system.

First thing to do is to remove all the programs that start when you start the windows. Most people have dozens of programs in the computer that are just slowing the thing down. Use an online office instead of an offline one. Open office and star office loads a lot of files to the RAM when you start windows. This is good if you use office everyday, but when when you use it just once every week. Uninstall all those programs that you never use more than once per month. Most of them have portable versions that you do not need to install on the computer. They are faster, lighter and they do not leave traces on the computer. Always use them instead of the ones you need to install.

Next thing you must do is to reduce the color of the windows. Your computer is to work, not to have fun. When you reduce the colors of the computer, windows will become faster becuase it has more free memory and it has also a lot more CPU to work because the processor is not using RAM and other computer resources.

Next thing you must do is to remove all the files you do not use frequently. These files only use index space, they only use cpu resources when you opne the directory and these files only will make your eyes have too many things to look arond when you need to focus on the job. Put them all inside a pen drive and then delete them out of the hard disk.

Next thing you must do is to use CCleaner. This program will clean your entire computer thanks to the way it works. It will clean the register, it will clean the temporary files, it will clean the cache of all the programs you have installed on your computer and will also clean all the files that are there just using resources.

You can also use this program to uninstall all the software you do not need anymore. It's many times faster than the windows vista default tool, not to mention that it never crashed unlike windows vista's default tool that is always crashing.

Finally you can use a program like Tune Up utilities to speed up your computer to extreme levels. This will disable most things that windows does not need and this will also make sure all the definitions are made for speed only.
