Should our politicians be held to a higher moral standard?

Title endorsed in part by:

John F. Kennedy, the 35th President of the United States, declared: "Politics is a jungle torn between doing the right thing and staying in office."

Politicians should be held to a higher moral standard to: (1) Display a character standard worth emulation, (2) foster that trust and loyalty which retains the attention of constituents, and (3) communicate the importance of electing accountable leaders who appreciate the mantle of leadership that they were anointed to bear.

Personal worth seeks to grow beyond the barriers of distrust where all welfare and well beings thrive. The personal account of citizens accrues the deposits of trust and brands of honor during seasons of malicious scrutiny.

Commitments in personal governance will safe guard any identity worth emulation. The mark of nobility exists only when character aspirations mesh with the realities of corruptness.

Service meets the standards of society, as servants bear the brand of honor which removes doubt in their ability to care.

A brand worth recognition is a brand which is trustworthy and that bears the mantle of distinction.

Trust is earned and expected to reach many more than one could ever imagine. Just a shadow of trust can do wonders for a politician's progression in life.

Leading by example speaks volumes about the character of a politician. Teaching involves showing the way by leading the way.

Leaders require moral stamina to lead beyond the ups and downs of political life cycles. The life of politicians can become most uncertain when everything else has failed.

A politician's personal brand should tug at the consciousness of many who embark upon the steps of Lady Liberty.

A politician's personal brand should tug at the morals of a society which cares less about the misfortunes of others.

A politician's personal brand should tug at the ethical reasoning of our citizenry to strike a chord between fairness and justice.

A politician's personal brand should tug at the memory of them who have digressed from the early principles and values which have perpetuated their existence.

A politician's personal brand should tug at the waywardness of intangibles which affect the moral protocols of ingenious individuals.

Robert Half claimed: "Politics is an excellent career, unless you get caught."

The obligation of politicians extends the breadth and width of constitutional declarations to serve a citizenry in need. They must govern with a spirit of discernment to dispel any myths associated with inept leadership.
