This poem is around a girl called, "Jade Goody" that died this morning after a painful battle with cancer. She became a sort of celebrity on a realistic TV show here in the UK called, "Big Brother" This catapulted her into becoming a very controversial celebrity due to her working class roots and rather brash and outspoken personality. The same people that built her up, destroyed her . This poem was written this morning and is simply called
Jade
Trying to find
A kind of peace of mind
Something that gives you a sign
Was it worth your living time
I'm Just being someone
Looking to have some fun
But you can't please everyone
After all is said and done
Put me on a cloud
Shout my name out loud
Clap me standing tall
Then kick me when I fall
Love me in your lies
I'm everything you despise
It's just easy compromise
Selling papers in disguise
Can you comprehend
If something's heaven sent
To change your life around
It takes time to find the ground
Adjustments have to mend
Reflection time to spend
Times that you were starving
Now your up there with then carving
But they only feed on you
To publish something new
Cameras flashing in a cue
For this girl without a clue
Racialist tones
When cancers in my bones
Making headlines overblown
If the truth was only known
Big brothers doom and gloom
Filled with has-beens' in a room
Clambering for fame
Or one word to spark a flame
But it really was not me
But that's all you got to see
There was over act conjecture
Bollywood and all its colour
Love me now I'm dead
Ponder everything that's said
Buy the books and my perfume
As they are my children's heirloom
Now the masses will all flock
Where politicians start to cluck
I see Gordon Brown is leading
Where was he when I was bleeding?
