Poetry: Tangled

by I William

Created on: March 22, 2009

I am a tangled and twisted being

Bound by my own morals

Watching others succeed and acquire

As I struggle to survive

I cannot lie for I would be lying to myself

I cannot cheat for I would be cheating myself

I cannot steal for I would be stealing from myself

But you can do all of things

Without question or concern

You are proud of your deceitful earnings

I am a tangled and twisted being
