How to lose lower-belly fat fast

It is easy to know what to do to lose lower-belly fat fast! Lose it by exercising and eating the right number of calories in a balanced nutritional combination. Fasting is counter-productive. Losing lower belly fat in a targeted spot-reducing manner is, as I have read before, akin to emptying the deep end of the pool while leaving the shallow end at the same level. When the combination of exercise, calories expended and calories consumed results in the reduction of fat in a person's body, their body fat is reduced. While some people have a tendency to accumulate fat with a different distribution than others, no amount of exercising one body area will result in the elimination or reduction of fat accumulation specifically in that area.

While the swimming pool analogy is a great one, also consider the idea of exercisng only one leg and not the other. Will one leg lose fat while the other retains it? Of course not. Now, the muscle in the leg which is exercised will get larget with enough exercise, that will have the net effect of making the exercised leg larger, and not smaller, than the inactive leg.

All of the spot reduction exercise gimmicks seem to indicate that these laws of biology and nature do not apply to them. Of course, the subjects they show in their advertisements are always so perfect that we are asked to suspend reality and believe that if we send in our $19.99 (plus shipping and handling) that in only ten minutes a day for three weeks we too will have slim waists, six-pack abs and, well, enhanced body parts in other non-muscular locations as well.

Exercise does work. A healthy diet does work. Consuming more calories than we consume (and consuming a healthy daily minimum of calories) will result in the loss of fat from your body - overall. That fat will be shed from all over your body. Depending upon your personal body, some people will retain more in one location than another, making one area the last to go. Losing fat fast will cause it to go away in some areas more than others at first, but over time it will even out and be redistributed over your entire body.

A few years back, I lost over 50 pounds by following a very regimented diet and exercise plan. I averaged losing a pound of fat a week for almost a year, while increasing by lean muscle mass by around four pounds. At times I would lose three pounds in a week, and by measurement my waist would seem to be where the fat was lost. Within less than a week, the waist measurement would equalize and I would have lost the fat in an evenly distributed manner from all over my body. The lowest my bodyfat percentage ever got was around 16 percent, so I always carried some lower belly fat, and my six-pack abs remained safely oput of sight beneath that layer of fat - no matter how many situps I suffered.

You will not lose lower belly fat faster than you lose thigh or upper arm fat. Therefore, the answer to how to lose lower body fat is - lose body fat.
