you have work to do? Working from home often crosses the line between personal and professional time. Yes, you can stop your work to attend to a family need, but remember that time (and possibly more) gets tacked on later. Pro: No commuting
Con: Ok, this one you win. The time you once wasted every day is now yours as you tumble out of bed and into your new office. For those who used commuting time as an escape from the chaos of a busy life, you'll need a new outlet.
Pro: You will finally be happy
Con: It's likely you will be happier than working in an office environment, if you are the sort of person who doesn't need a lot of social interaction (besides your interrupting family members). Working from home does offer freedom for those who march to their own drums, have the skills that can be transferred to a home employment situation, and can manage their money well.

Yet anyone considering working at home should approach the challenge with eyes wide open. There are many pitfalls along the road to a happy career at home. Avoid them and you can learn to love your job again.
