In the whole Solar System, Earth is the only planet that has so much water freely available - from Space, you can see more water than land. So what does that tell you about the subject of water on Earth. It is the only planet that recycles and purifies its own water supply. We don't need to go into the whole thing of how wonderful our planet is, we already know it. What we may not know is how to tap into that natural cycle that is Mother nature at work.

Whenever a subject like the water supply is mentioned, as being under threat, I always wonder where this is coming from, and why now.

Life has been on planet Earth for millions of years, but it takes man to consider himself such a threat to the universe that he almost starts making up problems that someone needs to solve. So, rather than looking at what nature does and trying to help that along, we seek unnatural solutions.

That man is expanding his communities across the world is without doubt, but he has to accept that some parts of the planet are less hospitable than others, and he shouldn't be surprised if Texas doesn't get as much water falling on it as Manchester England, or even Manchester Connecticut. This is where man should start using some of his amazing brain power to estimate just how many humans a given area can support, and then manage it, rather than imposing an ever greater population on an area, expecting it to cope with his demands.

Some places do suffer water shortages, while neighbours seem to have plenty, so its quite a normal sort of idea that we savages would fight over such resources, especially those of us that are unable to see our neighbours as anything but a threat. Just why this idea of a war over resources is propagated by those able to spread such stories is not such a mystery though. There will always be those that want to spread discord and distrust, because they can gain from it, in some perhaps obscure way.

To these that originate these scares I would say to them, that we are tired of being manipulated for such games. We will always have our innovation to fall back on, providing the political elite do not tie us up in inane global warming legislation that means we could never help Mother nature, without falling foul of those that would control us in all manner of ways.

We have enormous potential - don't lets waste that by becoming embroiled in the crazy ideas that would set man against man, for there is no reason for any war over water resources.
