Poetry: The widow

by Wilma Bane

Created on: March 21, 2009

She used to be happy,

now she is sad.

She thought she had everything,

even when times were bad.

She used to smile,

now she frowns.

She used to love life,

now her love drowns.

She was once a happy wife,

now she is a sad widow.
