Tips and advice on "going green" in IT for mid-sized companies
Not only is the world in extreme financial trouble, especially America. We have "bigger fish to fry", trying to repair a world that has become blinded by what is really the necessities of human existance. Without population, or a world, no one will need any type of business. Many big businesses have played a big role in the carbon footprint. If your company has it's own fleet of trucks, make your own fuel. There are finances available to assist with this process.
Mid-sized companies "going green" is a much needed step in the right direction. What must be taken into consideration by the mid-sized company to go green, is to figure out what is being wasted. For the most part, electricity, is the major consumption. Over use of electricity can cause a huge amount of heat, which effects layers in the ozone to heat up. According to the glaciers, we don't need anymore heat.
The following excerpt is a few tips on how to manage the waste of the company, and funnel it into a green operation. Please use these tips and advice. Making your company a green company is a big step. The changes will be disputed and discouraged. Ignore these pesimistic people and push full speed ahead to green operations.
• Electricity-There is no way to cut electricity use, due to the use of technology devices, lights, and operational functions. The only thing to do is change the method of the electricity supply. Solar panels installed on the roof of the building, housing the business is a good start. With solar panels, after installation, please understand, the amount of electricity the company needs to operate will not change. However, the amount of electrical current the business draws from a sevice provider source will decrease dramatically. Look into grants or credits from the government. These types of financial breaks are given to businesses that wish to go green. Also when drawing electricity from the sun, the electricity bill will diminish. Think about this, the sun comes up everyday. The sun releases enough light, to brighten the entire world. This is a source of electricity that does not break down, or need repaired.
• Electricity Part 2- Another type of green living with electricity is to purchase a diesel generator capable of carrying the electrical load used for daily operation of the business. Then, purchase a biodiesel production kit. Have your employees donate used cooking grease. This is used
