Poetry: Let him

by Nathawyn Proby

Created on: March 21, 2009

There he was walking through the channel of life without regard for anyone. He had
few regrets because it was all about him. He had many loves and they adored him.
If one did not know him they would think he was capable of caring for the things he
encountered daily.

Let him...,

He met someone after many deceptive relationships. This is the one he wanted. The
mother of his children This one shall be his wife. This is the one who will obey his

wishes and set sails for the many journeys that shall come his way.

Let him...,

As he set his sails the wind sent him back to the shores he had left behind with his new
wife. "No...,no...,", he shouted to the wind ,"turn my ship around around". I have had
the experiences of this towns' people. The women and the men have been the apple
of my eye. They know me without having to lie of my intentions. The wind ignored him
as the ship anchored.

Let him

His new wife was welcomed but they all wondered how such a deceptive man could deserve
the beauty of life. They all saw him for what he appeared to be worth but they felt as if
he had victimized them. Surely they had not shared responsibility.

Let him

Regrets knocked on his souls door but he refused to aknowledge wrong. His new wife had
no idea of him being around the block as one would think he was tired of being greedy.
One would think a man of his stature would be a man of consciousness. One capable of
change and repenting.

Let him

One day the sails failed and his beautiful wife fell into the deep sea, There he sat in the channels
of life alone and finally feeling pain. Did pain offend him or was pain felt because love had
knocked on his door for the first time? Was he capable of asking the sea to send him backwards
into the deceptive tunnel of what he had not perceived or really contemplated.

Let him

Conscious awoke as he fell on his knees seeking his Creator and asking if he was capable of
change. He was alone and without companionship and his pantry was almost empty. The
wind was not moving in his direction and he was insane to his surroundings.

Let him

Awake from this dream and move forward and allow discernment to be his vessel.
