Blogging for fun

What is your motive for starting a blog? Is it to generate extra income? Is it to share knowledge and experience? Is it to let the whole world know about your existence? Is it to promote your business?

Regardless of why you start a blog in the first place, you will not be able to sustain a blog for long if blogging is not fun. Many bloggers who blog purely for money give up within six months when they see that blogging is not a get-rich quick scheme.

Maintenance of a blog requires a lot of time and effort. Readers of a blog expect that the blog is updated with fresh ideas on a regular basis. Regular updating means to update on a daily basis or weekly basis and not monthly or yearly basis.

Readers also expect that the most of the ideas are original and not a cut and paste from some free articles website.

If you find blogging enjoyable and fun, you will look forward to go home and update your blog regularly. You will find that sharing your experience with your readers create a special bond between you and your readers.

You will experience the love and concern from your readers' comments in your blog. You will learn a lot from the comments from your readers. Their comments give you the inducement to continue blogging.

Blogging is fun. The blog is your platform to the world. You are free to express your anger at your boss, your customers, your suppliers or the world at large. You are free to tell your readers what to do. You are free to report what you have witnessed during the day. You are free to talk about your cat, your dog, your favorite movie and any other subjects close to your heart.

Nobody is going to edit your posts in your blog. Nobody is going to send you a rejection email for writing in your blog. Nobody is going to counsel you on your grammar, sentence structure, punctuation and whatever other mistake your imperfect English generates.

You are free to express your thoughts in whatever language or mixture of languages you are comfortable with.

As long as you are having fun with blogging, there will be readers who enjoy reading your blog. They will keep coming back to read your latest posts and recommend their friends to do so.

There will come a time when you can generate income from your blog. You will feel proud of yourself and your blog. You will feel happier to receive a steady stream of income from your blog.

Blogging is fun. Enjoy blogging and may your blog bring you much happiness and tons of money.
