below to see which one works for you.

When you feel your anger boiling over into rage, try the following:

1) Grip the steering wheel and count to 10 or 20

2) Smile and laugh an incident off instead of feeling anger

3) Turn the radio up VERY loud

4) Listen to some calming music on the radio, very loud

5) Pull over until you feel calmer

6) Make a rhyme about happy driving

If you feel road rage is becoming a more common incident in your daily driving, maybe you should seek some anger management classes. You may want to look at the source of your anger and try and see what you could change to avoid feelings of anger and rage.

WHEN YOU'RE A VICTIM OF ROAD RAGE

As I mentioned before, some incidents are very minor but others can have major repercussions and consequences. I have been in the car when the driver has chased down some unruly teens throwing rocks, I have witnessed another driver swerve into the path of another to scare them and unfortunately, I have also seen people take to others with crowbars. I have heard about victims being followed and stalked by a road rager and am sure there has been many more distressing stories.

When you're a victim of road rage, avoid eye contact or retaliation. Avoid yelling out the window to the person and don't antagonize them further. If their registration plate is in clear view, memorize it or have a passenger write it down because if an incident escalates, you may need to seek guidance from the police.

If you find you're being followed, calmly drive around several blocks. The person will give up eventually and drive away. This will also allow them to calm down too.

Road rage is very common on the roads today but the best thing you can do, as a sensible and calm driver, is avoid giving in to your anger and emotions. Try any number of the above methods to avoid giving in to road rage and becoming another statistic on our roads.
