Four Colors:
They were parting ways at the end of high school
Ten long years ago
They knew their friendship would never be the same again
So they made four colored bracelets, solidifying their bond forever.
Each girl had her own color
Each strand of green, black, red and gray
Symbolized one of them.
And each promised to wear their bracelet until it wore out.
Josephine's color was green,
And she was destined for success.
A seven figure salary and CEO position
Yet she lost contact with her friends.
Rita's color was black,
And it was the color that eventually reflected her soul.
A life of crime consumed her
Within five years she was locked away for life.
Maggie's color was red,
And how chillingly appropriate it was.
For two years after they parted ways,
She was hit by a car and died within the day.
And my colormy color was gray.
The gray of loneliness.
The gray of lost friends and rusty memories.
Those three are gone; only I remain.
Yet I still wear my friendship bracelet;
It has not worn out.
Never will I forget
The friends who wove it with me.

Four Colors:
They were parting ways at the end of high school
Ten long years ago
They knew their friendship would never be
Wouldn't it be so very romantic
If we bemoaned our lack of lovers
Discussed together our quests so frantic
To solve
by Ilyan Theara
I use to
I use to think of you as a sister
Your heart always opened for everyone to abuse
Dreaming of beautiful ideals yet
Passionate friends is what we are.
Laughter and tears are what brought us here.
Naturally and consistently we followed
YOU SAY WE'RE JUST FRIENDS
You say we're just friend and I believe you
that's OK as long as we kiss the way that we do
you
