The highest sales tax in the Nation, unemployment rising, record foreclosures, businesses failing at a record pace, what's the solution? Why raise taxes of course! Huh? Oh yeah! I mean think of the challenge! All that stuff you couldn't really afford, you know like food, but if you turned the heat off on those nights when it was above zero you might be able to swing on what you're currently paid, that is until your company outsources your job, well that's just not nearly enough of a challenge in my book. Take some more, PLEASE! I don't need it, God knows.

The stimulus package that was going to give me about $40 a month more in my paycheck, hell take that too. What do I need it for? I was just going to spend it on wasteful stuff like the mortgage. Hell I owe more on the house than it's worth (even though no one can figure out what it's worth)anyway. You would certainly better manage with my money than I ever could. I might spend it at a business or something, that's just unthinkable.

My favorite is when I got my bonus, out of $3K, I got almost $1800. So how much more would be taken with your tax hike? Should I just sign my paycheck over? Of course I may not be getting a paycheck soon so you better act fast, Gov baby!

Speaking of not getting a paycheck, have you noticed that employers are outsourcing jobs to other countries like there's a fire sale over there or something? I've been told it's because it so much cheaper. I wonder what would happen if we taxed those companies that dump their local workers in favor of the cheaper oversees variety? What would the outcome be if wasn't so cheap to outsource to India or Mexico? Hmmm. Nah.. that wouldn't work. Employers might have to hire locally, then people would start working again and buying stuff again and paying taxes again, Ugh, way too much headache to think about that. You're so right, your plan is way better.

Hey, I saw that tour you gave WMAQ of the Governor's mansion. That was awesome! When you opened the fridge and it was filled with bear! That was great! Really explained a lot.

The best laugh I had today was listening to NPR and you saying how you were going to tighten your belt by not taking the pay of the Governor. Well not all of it anyway. Out of $177K, you generous soul you, you are only going to take $150K. Boy, that makes me smile just thinking of it! How will you manage on a lousy $150K? I make $44K, but I guess that different. Tell you what, I'll give you 50% more of my pay if you give me your extra $22K. Deal?
