Poetry: Emotional wounds

by Billie Meyers

Created on: March 20, 2009

FOREVER BOUND

Anxiety, fear, insecurity,

Are all childhood memories made of these?

For how long do I owe fidelity;

Does the priv'lege of birth mean lifetime fees;

Can not I seek mine own felicity;

Or is it those who bore me must I please?

More grateful would I be if I were free,

But seems forever bound I am to thee.
