Bailed Out
Here I sit all alone and broke
Reading headlines which must be a joke
The finance company just took my truck
I guess you could say that I'm down on my luck
But I have a plan, way back in my mind
That I am working on, so I should be fine
I'll find me a great big company
And convince them that they really need me
I'll work really hard, the way that I should
And show that company that I'm doing good
I'll earn my pay, then ask for more
And be content, like never before
A modest bonus of two or three
Million dollars, sounds good to me
Life would then be easy for me
For all my friends, and family
Within these troubling economic times
While other Americans all pinch their dimes
I dreamed for a while, and it felt so good
On having it made, if I could
Then reaching up, I dabbed at my tears
As I realized my greatest fears
What if they asked me maybe to
Give back the money, what would I do?
I would like to hand it all back to them
But if I started that, there would be no end
Then my concerns all drifted away
As I envisioned a brighter day
Since the Democrats will bail me out
'Cause that's what change, is all about
