"Spring"
A warm breeze blows through the trees outside my window.
The returning birds sing a new, beautiful song as the fields start to fill in with bright reds, blues, purples.
Down the street rings the sound of a ball game outmatched in sound only by children racing their bikes as their laughter rises to the sky above.
It is Spring at last!
All winter-long, dreams of warm air and walks through the park entered my thoughts.
I longed to be rid of the cold and snow that seemed to make each day gloomier than the last.
And now I wake to the birds and the warm, inviting sun and I smile.
It is Spring at last!
So keep singing, little birds, that beautiful, new song.
Keep reaching your laughter to the sky, happy children.
Keep your fragrance strong, fields of bright, beautiful flowers.
And keep blowing, warm breeze.
For it is Spring at last!

The sun in the sky is now higher overhead,
Life
Hearty crocus triumphantly peep
through melting snow, once white and deep
ending winter's long quiet sleep
the promise
