When you've fallen in love with a married man

I had to think hard to decide if I should write this story. But I decided to share it with you because maybe it will open your eyes to how some things can come about in life. Have you ever heard that some people do not know that they are alive? They need someone to help them live again. This is such a story. I apologize if I offend anyone. I do not mean too. I only want to be honest.I was married for 23 years to a man who was an alcoholic.

The last five years of my marriage were terrible. My husband was out of control with drinking and drugs and was extremely mentally and verbally abusive. We did not sleep in the same bed any longer and he was usually drunk from the time he got off of work until the next morning. He was drunk the entire weekend. He barely took a shower and had become someone I can honestly say that I loathed. I am sorry but I did. I was so miserable with my life. We would argue all the time. My mom knew about it but I hid it from my dad.

One day as I went grocery shopping I noticed a very striking man that was working in the store. He was very tall and well built and had beautiful caramel skin. His hair was long and somewhat curly. But it was his eyes that I found most striking.Very exotic looking and kind of cat shaped. I thought to myself, "he sure is good looking". And that was that. The next few times that I came in to shop, this attractive man would speak to me and say hello or ask how was I. I found it very flattering that he noticed me. After being married to a man who could have cared less, it was nice to be noticed. After a few grocery trips, this man began asking me questions."' Was I married?" "Your husband sure is a lucky man."

Those sort of things were said. I thought to myself if he only knew how miserable I was. My husband had begun even drinking at work now. He had always been an outstanding employee. They just never knew how he was at home. Now they were starting to get a picture. It wasn't pretty. The more pressure he felt at work ,the more hell I caught at home. Maybe you ask, why did I not leave. I wanted to but where was I going? My parents were only 2 houses from me and my dad had no clue this was going on. I was stuck in this hell of a marriage. I walked on eggshells every day.Anything could set him off and usually did. My only relief was when he would pass out. Soon my grocery trips led to my new admirer to ask me if I was happily married. I told him no. Actually I wasn't. Well, neither was he.

He had gotten married at 17 when
