Jesus was crucified on a cross outside the walls of Jerusalem in the place called skull, he had suffered the indignity and humiliation of been marginalized, mocked and physically abused, yet in his humility he kept his integrity, only at the foot of the cross the human nature revealed something of his feelings towards his mother and the disciple whom he loved.

Echoing the prophetic utterance Jesus rejected the vinegar and gall offered to him by the ridiculing soldiers, more concern in gambling for his robe than for any rescue mission, towards the afternoon Jesus resign himself to his fate and offer the prayer of a scapegoat, voluntarily on the behalf of the people for future generation, he cried out from a heart of passion.

One of the most distinct feature about Jesus was that he forgave sins without asking for conditions, by doing this he is showing the remarkable mercy of God, Jesus ask for pardon for sinners caught in the very act of the worst atrocities.

Jesus was crucified between two malefactors that were guilty of crimes against the state, each in their own way was privileged to be found in such an exalted company, yet sadly only one of the thieves recognized who Jesus really was, and his acknowledgment to the fact, earned him a place in paradise, Jesus died that we might have life more abundantly.

Many people thought Jesus was too much of a pacifist, by not raising an army to defeat the Romans, and never advocating violence to overthrow the Roman empire, some Romans may even have held political views that Jesus was more a threat as an insurrectionist, and although he wasn't, his death was still warranted, because he was allegedly king of the Jews in the territory of another sovereign ruler.

Jesus made a bold statement while visiting a close friend in Bethany, and the ramifications has reverberate down through the centuries, including the celebration of Easter pageant , Christians believed that Jesus was crucified, and 72 hours later he rose from the dead triumphantly.

I am the Resurrection and the Life," said Jesus; "he who believes in me will live. John 11:25 in a great sense of the reality, death could not hold him, the grave could not keep him down, Jesus is still very much alive today.
