Recipes: Pasta salad

I make this pasta salad quite a bit in the summer, it's fast, easy and inexpensive too. I like to make this in the morning after breakfast and then let it chill all day, then dinner is ready any time we are ready to eat. My family loves it and its very filling, you can also have it on the side with any summer barbeque's.

If you prefer you can use any kind of noodles you like. I hope you all will enjoy it as much as we do. Even the kids love it and eat more then one serving. This recipe will feed at least 6 people.

For the shopping list you will need:

1- box rotini noodles

1- jar little midget pickles

1-10 oz jar green olives

1- 2 lb can ham

1 onion

3 eggs

mayonnaise

mustard (you can use any kind but I like to use spicy brown or honey Dijon)

First start by cooking you noodles and boiling your eggs until they are hard boiled, while they are cooking you can chop the onion, chop the green olives, and the pickles.

Cube the canned ham in about a half inch size cubes.

When the noodles get done drain them and run cold water over them to chill them.

Cut up the hard boiled eggs. (I like to slice them and put them on the top with paprika garnish).

Put the noodles in a big bowl, mix in the eggs, onion, pickles, and green olives. Sprinkle on your favorite Mrs. dash seasoning. Put about a cup and half cup of mayonnaise and a little dab of mustard, mix it all together and chill before serving.

You can garnish with either paprika or parsley.

If you have a busy day planned this is good to make ahead of time and refrigerate. It will be ready when ever you are ready to eat. The longer you leave it to chill the more the flavor gets to set in. There is many spice options and ingredient options that you can add. So try the things that you like and add them to it.
