The Nighttime Rhythm of Dark Afternoon
The silence of the night was an impossible theme
Sounds would echo throughout the scene
As the trees would blow
A low below would flow
In the air
Like a constant stare
The owls stayed still
But their eyes would glare
Over-there I see!
What could it be?
By the shadow underneath the tree
Was a snake
That would quickly awake
By the lake was a swan
Waiting for dawn
Removing its wetness with a constant shake
The violins would play
As the crickets would lay
Surviving the night till the very next day
The wolves would howl
Wanting to growl
At the moon
Made to be soon
