I find that making true friends can be very challenging especially in todays world. You must be very careful and make sure you know the background about this person. It sounds as you are a detective but it's worth finding out about the friend you are about to consider your best friend. Sometimes we are so desperate to fit into the in crowd that we ignore what type of friend or friends you are becoming involved with.

We all should know that a true friend will be there for you through thick and thin. If you believe you have made a new true friend you may realize that they may be only considering what you may be able to do for them instead of them for you. You may find yourself offering of yourself many a task and deeds for this so called true friend. You may even come to realize that everytime you ask for a favor of this friend they may be too busy or have other more important obligations than to help you out when you are in a bind.

You may be too anxious to make a best friend or true friend that you may not notice this at first but you may come to your senses when you have asked for favors or help quite a few times that you start to wonder just how true this friend is. You find yourself putting more into this friendship then they are willing to put into your idea of a true friend. I have learned the hard way. I myself have wanted to be part on the in crowd and was willing to do anything I had to do to make a new friend, but I soon noticed that I was doing all types of favors for them and was willing to put all it took to keeping this friendship alive. Then the true realization hit me when I needed a great favor or someone to be there for me and guess what?

They were no where to be found. Be careful when trying to make a trusting friendship. It may take awhile to know this person and really find out if they are indeed a true friend. It may mean going through quite a few mistakes and heartbreaks but in the end of all your searching I believe that you will come to find out just who will be a trusted friend forever. They are always there when you are going through the many problems that you may encounter along the way as you will be there for them as well. You must become familiar with a person first before you deicide that they are indeed a reliable person that you will always count on. But you must be a truly good friend to gain the respect of what could become a true and good friend for life.
