The Control Game
Why do you think
That you can control
How people react?
That they'll do as they're told?
If you make a script
If you make a plan
Why would you think
Everyone would understand?
They all have lives
They all have dreams
You think yours are
More important, it seems
To play this game
To force your plan
Are not the actions
Of an honourable man
No one can trust
One that tries to control
That forces them into
Playing a role
It's much better being
Honest with your peers
Trust that is built
On this lasts for years
For to try to control
What others say and do
Will always backfire
And be blamed on you.
