Burgers again? I know that burgers are a great meal to whip up when you don't have a lot of time on your hands, but they really can get a little boring if you make them the same way over and over. Here are three different kinds of burgers that may change your way of thinking about this usually dull dinner choice!

These burgers are great on almost any kind of bun you choose, but feel free to mix that up too and wake up those taste buds.

I have tried Focacia rolls, Whole Wheat buns, Rye bread and various other types of bread with each of these burgers, and I rarely eat the same burger twice!

Persian Chicken Burgers:

Ingredients:

1 1/2 Lbs Ground Chicken

1 egg

1 tsp. saffron threads, crushed to a powder

2 tsp. chopped or fresh garlic

1 tsp. lemon juice

1 tsp. Sumac (optional and only if available)

Combine ingredients in mixing bowl gently with hands. Wash hands well! Allow this to marinate for about 15-30 minutes. Form into four burgers and broil for 8 minutes on middle rack, then 5 minutes on second side. A nice addition to this burger is a dollop of plain yogurt.

Buffalo Provolone Burgers:

Ingredients:

1 1/2 Lbs ground Buffalo meat

1/2 package onion soup mix

1/4 Cup bread crumbs

2-3 drops liquid smoke (very strong!)

2-3 dashes hot sauce

4 slices Provolone Cheese

Mix all ingredients by hand in mixing bowl. Form into 4 burgers. Grill these on a stovetop grill or outside and top with the Provolone cheese when they are done. Yummy!

Ground Beef Meatloaf Burgers:

1 1/2 Lbs Ground Beef

1/2 Package Onion Soup mix

1/4 Cup ketchup

1 egg

1/2 Cup shredded cheese

1/4 Cup Bread Crumbs

2 tsp. Worcestershire Sauce

Salt and pepper

Combine ingredients by hand and cook in a stainless steel pan over medium heat, or grill outside. Top with American cheese if desired!

Enjoy everyone!
