I stumbled across my first pay-to-click site nearly three years ago, when I was out of work and trying to find ways to make some extra money online. At first, I was intrigued by the idea that there were sites that would pay users just to click links. It seemed like it was too good to be true, but after a bit of investigating, I found that there are actually quite a few pay-to-click sites that really do pay their users as promised.
There are a few things that you should know before you join any pay-to-click site, though. The most important thing to keep in mind is that you will not get rich off of any PTC site. A typical PTC site will pay its members a penny for clicking on a link and viewing an advertisement for 30 seconds, and most do not have more than four or five links available each day.
Many pay-to-click sites offer bonuses for referring new members. Sometimes the bonus is a flat fee for each new member who joins using your referral link. Most of the time, the bonus is a percentage of your referrals' earnings. Some PTC sites only offer the bonus for new members that join directly from your referral link, but others offer bonuses when your referrals refer new members, too. While it is possible to increase what you can earn by encouraging others to join using your referral link, you should keep in mind that referral bonuses should not be the only way to make money from a PTC site.
Another thing that you should carefully check before you join any PTC site is its payment terms. Most sites have a set minimum that you have to reach before you can request a payment, so make sure you take note of what the minimum you'll need to get paid is. You should also take a look at the payment methods the site uses to make payments (AlertPay and PayPal are two of the most popular options, although some sites do send checks by mail), and make sure that its terms of service guarantee payment will be made in a reasonable amount of time. There's nothing worse than clicking for weeks to reach a site's minimum, only to find out you have to wait six months to get paid for the work you've done!
Finding a reliable pay-to-click site that won't waste your time can be a pain in the neck. I joined dozens of different sites when I first started out, hoping that it would increase my earnings. It didn't work-most of the sites I joined disappeared within a few weeks. I've moved on from PTC sites since then, but there's a handful of PTC sites I've stuck with:
No-Minimum - Although No-Minimum offers the lowest amounts of any of the sites I'm a member of (1/10th of a cent for every emailed link clicked), I've found that it's worth sticking with because it doesn't take a lot of my time. It's a very slow earner with no referrals, but I've found that slow and steady is what counts when it comes to PTC sites. So far, I've made just over $6.50 from it, and I've been paid within a few days every time I've requested a payment after reaching the $1 minimum.
DonkeyMails - DonkeyMails pays slightly higher amounts than No-Minimum does. The average link is worth of a cent, but there are occasionally links that have values as high as a full cent. It's a decent earner even with no referrals, and while I usually have to wait a couple of weeks to receive payment after I request it, DonkeyMails has proven itself reliable time and time again. Like No-Minimum, DonkeyMails has a $1 minimum, so reaching payout isn't too difficult.
Clixsense - Clixsense is a good pay-to-click site to join if you're a patient person. The links it offers have values of at least one cent, and it's not too uncommon to come across links that offer higher amounts. It's the only site I've joined that pays only by check, and while it does pay quickly, it can take quite a while to reach its $10 minimum if you're not an upgraded member and have no referrals.
NeoBux - Last, but certainly not least, there's NeoBux. It's by far the best-earning pay-to-click site I've joined. Most of the links here are worth a cent, although there are occasionally higher-valued links available. It's much easier to reach the minimum here than any of the other sites I've been paid by-it's $2 to start with, but goes up by $1 each time you request until it reaches $10. One of the most attractive features NeoBux offers is instant payments. You can request a payment by AlertPay or PayPal and have it deposited in your account within minutes.
With a bit of patience (and maybe a bit of help from some friends) it's possible to make a few dollars a month from pay-to-click sites. I've been with all of the sites above for at least six months, and have verified that they do pay as promised. If you're looking to get started with pay-to-click sites but don't want to invest a lot of time in making sure the ones you've chosen actually pay, give one of these proven sites a shot!
