It was her love I sought
Through broken glass and shattered dreams
Down haunted roads that twisted, turned
Into a life it never seamed
It was her love I sought
In and out of youth and age,
Exercising alleyways inside a young boy's needs
Searching now inside to find the sage
It was her love I sought
Buried deep within the child
A lonely land of forgotten truth
Where the price of lies taught mild
It was her love I sought
As once upon a little heart
Pain and loss and selling out
Became a the way to start
It was her love I sought
While living in the empty space
That turns the mind of love of blood
To bargain chips and wins replace
The character of soul.
