We all saw it coming, all though we don't admit

We were just lying and living in a myth

Some things are obvious and clear to see

One of which is clearly that there ain't no you and me.

-

Although we tried to hide behind the years we wasted

We knew the end was near, it was all just over-rated

One thing though, the gave me a shock

Was the fact that it hurt me, a hell of a lot

-

I cried and cried, yes it's true

Regardless of it all, I do love you

Some things however are just not meant to be

And our failure together was clear for everyone to see

-

It over and done, time to move on

No more holding back, living with contempt and scorn

We can both find love that we rightfully deserve
