Why computers are frustrating

Computers have made our lives easier in many ways. They also come with many drawbacks. Computers are extremely frustrating at times. We have come to rely on them so heavily that when there is down time, we don't really know what to do with ourselves.

Here is a look at some of the ways in which computers can be frustrating:

The Internet

The whole world is at our fingertips and we being to surf around it as though we have all the time in the world. Just as you get to the one thing that you really want to know more about, you get an error message telling you that it can't find the page. That's funny because you were just there and did nothing to go away from the page. This error code pops up often when your internet connection goes down. This is frustrating beyond belief. Waiting, sometimes hours can put a real cramp in a project that you are working on.

The internet can also be very frustrating when you are looking for something specific and you can find everything except what you are looking for. When you are looking for correct answers, you often find someone's opinion on the subject rather than solid evidence.

Computer Programs

Programs are meant to make things easier for you. They can sometimes be more difficult than doing it the old fashioned way. Learning how to use a program such as excel can be as frustrating as trying to fit a square peg in a round hole. It can be done, but the frustration can make you throw your hands up in the air as you give up on ever learning it.

When the Virus Makes Your Computer Ill

All computers that are connected to the internet are vulnerable to virus'. These bugs get into your system and don't want to let go. This could mean putting your computer in the "hospital" for repairs. This can take days or weeks to get back. This isn't very efficient for those that make a living through their computers. It also proves just how much we rely on the internet in every facet of our lives. When having to live without your computer for a while, you will realize what frustration truly means when you try to complete the same task without it.

Pop-up Advertising

These annoying little pieces of junk that jump into your face when you try to navigate through the internet are enough to make a person pull their hair out. They blink messages on and off at you telling you that you are the one millionth visitor to the site and have won a free laptop. Most people will click the X to get rid of them, but sometimes they just won't go away. It will often prompt another window to pop up which asks you if you are sure. If you get one of the really good ones, it will continually pop ads up for five minutes straight. You close one and five more open. That is a frustration all of us could do without.

Yes, there are many frustrating things about our computers. We do still love them though. Some people would rather go without food than their computers. We complain about that many things that bother us about the advancement in technology that we have, yet living without it isn't an option.
