When I was two years old, my new mommy adopted me. She gave me my new name, which was Crissy LeeAnn. I liked that name, and I was excited that I had a new mommy. I am a Terrier/Chihuahua. Before my new mommy adopted me, I spent my first two years in cages and being abused. My life has been filled with joy since I came to live with my new mommy and my sisters: Cassie Lulu and Sadey Marie. I enjoyed playing with Cassie and Sadey. We ran around outside and chased each other. We also ran inside the house.
When Cassie and I played together, Sadey barked at us. I thought she might be jealous of us because she wanted to play with us. Sometimes, she did join us, and all three of us ran around the house chasing each other. I was the youngest one, so I could run faster than Cassie and Sadey. Sometimes when we played chase in the house, I tried to run and hide from them, but they found my hiding place, which was usually by Mommy. Then, I ran around again. We played until all three of us wanted to rest.
Our fun time with Mommy was when Mommy brought us our food. Mommy put our food in our own bowls, but Cassie and I usually finished first, and if Sadey's door was open, Cassie and I tried to eat her food. That made Sadey upset when she saw us, and she started barking. Then, Mommy got upset at Cassie and me, and that made me sad because I didn't want Mommy mad at us. I didn't like scoldings or being put in my pet taxi for a time out. On the other hand, it was fun being sneaky.
At night time, Sadey and I slept with Mommy under the covers, and Cassie slept on a soft blanket on a chair beside Mommy's bed. Sometimes in the night, I woke up because Mommy was restless and moved in her bed. I realized that Cassie pawed Mommy. She wanted Mommy's attention. Sadey climbed into Cassie's bed, and Cassie wanted it. Cassie was cute when she pawed Mommy to let her know what she wanted. Mommy got Sadey into our bed and under the covers, so we could go back to sleep. Throughout the night, Mommy tossed and turned. I wondered why she did that. I tried to sleep all through the night, but sometimes, I had to get up and drink some water. At other times, Sadey got up and then wanted back up on the bed, but she was too little to jump up. She pawed the bed and barked her little bark, so Mommy would wake up and put her in bed.
Now, Mommy fixed a nice bed for Cassie under her bed, so Cassie could lay there on the carpet and her big blanket. Cassie seemed to like that because that was her private spot. She also liked to eat under there. She protected her area and didn't want Sadey or me to go in her area.
Sadey and I still slept with Mommy, and Cassie slept in her area or on the sofa. I have been a happy little girl since I have my new family.
