When a woman decides to get her tubes tied for whatever reason she has for getting them done, the one thing they ask the doctor is if they are going to have to worry about their tubes coming untied and them ending up pregnant? Well the reality is, it does happen and your tubes do sometimes come untied and women have become pregnant. In fact lately it's been more common that most would have imagined. That is why they developed a new practice of blocking the tubes instead of tying them, it's more accurate and more effective that way and you don't have to worry about the sperm getting through. When you get your tubes tied you would think that there wouldn't be anyway you could get pregnant, but sometimes it's just simply not the case. As much as it sucks and as much as it's a waist of money if you are just going to get pregnant anyways. A women has to understand that nothing is 100% and they are bound to come untied especially if they weren't tied correctly, which does happen sometimes. If you get them burned as well as tied they can grow back together and you can end up pregnant that way, it shouldn't happen one would think. It does.
After I have my second child I'm looking into birth control, but I'm getting the procedure done where they block your tubes. I don't trust getting my tubes tied because I've seen so many women have it done and they end up pregnant anyways. It's completely possible and there isn't much you can do about it, it happens and you have to realize that it's the risks that you are taking when you decide to get it done. There are some risks involved with getting your tubes tied though. So make sure you talk to your doctor and look into it before you get it done. Know the risks and the probability of becoming pregnant after getting them tied, that way you won't be surprisedif it does happen. It is birth control and everyone knows that when you get birth control there is always a possibility of becoming pregnant, as sad as it seems it happens. I know it shouldn't and hopefully some day they will come out with something to completely make it possible not to get pregnant while on birth control, but until they do we just got to inform ourselves about it all. So If i had to answer the question in one sentence I would tell you, yes it's possible to get pregnant while your tubes are tied. The chances aren't as high as not having your tubes tied obviously, but yes it's possible.
