Why do people get tattoos if they hurt? Well there are a lot of reasons why someone would get a tattoo if it hurts. I have 40 myself and I only have one on my body that actually hurt, it was done on my spine. The reasons why I chose to get a tattoo done is because they tell a story, tattoos are art work and they tell a lot about someone and who they are. some people would tell you that getting a tattoo is stupid and it hurts and it's something that you shouldn't do. I'm sure your parents have told you that they are permanent and you should really think before you go and have something put on your skin that you are stuck with for life. Mine did. For me though they are a way to express myself, a way to get my story out there. A way to store my memories that I don't want to forget. Notebooks and journals can get ruined and lost but a tattoo is there for life.

Of course that's not why all people get tattoos done. Some people get them done to be cool or to fit in a special club, such as college fraternities or sororities. They also get them done because they were really drunk one night and it just seemed like a good thing at the time. Some people get them done because they just really love tattoos, they call them art work and art work should be displayed. Of course there is always the reason being that some people don't think that they hurt, some people think that they are relaxing and so they don't mind getting them done. My sister got a couple done because she wanted to show everyone what happened in her life and has trouble telling people about it, so she figured that getting it tattooed on her body would be an easy way to help her express her memories. She also got my name tattooed even though it hurt to express how much she loves and respects me and so people would see and know the same thing. So see you don't have to just get a tattoo done for a certain reason, there are many many reasons why people get them done, and they don't always hurt everyone. A couple things you got to remember though, there is certain places that are going to hurt. Remember these spots when you go to get a tattoo done and it will make the experience a whole lot better. The spine, the armpit, the foot, the head, and the face. Those all hurt really bad for most people, but some people can handle it with no problem. So I guess I can't answer the question with one answer, because there are many answers out there and I'm not going to be able to tell you all of them, just my personal experience.
