There comes a time when you begin to realize that to "have what you want" you must "know what you want." Almost immediately you will recognize resistance to even consider certain aspects of your own desires. Resistance against your own desires! That's what you walk around with. As incredible as this sounds, here's an easy way to recognize this truth... sit back, relax, and think about something you want for a moment. Think about the highest, grandest aspects of that desire. What do you feel along with a glimmer of excitement? Resistance. As long as you retain this energy of resistance, you will continue to block yourself from what you want.
What you have to do, and where you have to go, will take diligence, persistence, patience with yourself, strength and the ability to become completely aware of your every thought, every moment, without judgment nothing to it. But it is a place of such power and bliss that you cannot imagine. A place where you can see and feel your deepest desires without the resistance outlined in the above paragraph. Why do this? To feel and recognize the irrefutable universal energy and power of being in a place where there is nothing but your highest thoughts and desires. And through this recognition, gaining an understanding of how the universe works, and actually becoming a conscious working part of the process. Instead of working in this universal energy unconsciously - which you are - you will become aware of your part in this world and in your life. You will understand the process and energy of what you are already doing and have a conscious awareness of your role in the creation of your life. It's not magic, it's the law.
Here's an experiment to show you the strength of the energy in the place where you have no resistance. This experiment must be done with great intention. But I guarantee that if you take about fifteen minutes and go through this process then my work here will be done, because you will actually feel what so many have talked about and wrote about. You will feel the difference between your normal energy - which is what you walk around with unconsciously - and the energy you have the potential of carrying, which will not only make you aware of what you want, but allow you the ability to get it.
Think about something you want. It really doesn't matter what it is. Just think about it. As soon as you hear your mind's response to this ridiculous notion of wanting something so frivolous, think again. Don't give the resistive thought the time of day. Don't give it any energy by arguing with it. Don't strengthen it's position by considering whether it is right or wrong. Just think again. Think again about what you want. And when you can think about this "want" in a way that has no resistance and this may take a while think an even grander, higher version of that desire. Then watch the resistance come in again. But again, don't give it any thought. Keep doing this until you are beaming with the highest thought about your highest desire. Do it over and over again, higher and higher as long as you can. Don't be surprised if your original desire changes and grows. It's your desire, and the higher and higher your thoughts about your desire, the more in sync with the world and the universe your desire will become.
When you have done this and are really feeling comfortable with your highest desire then I want you to notice something. Notice your energy. Can you feel that? The universe sure can! Is there a slight buzzing in your chest? Do you feel lighter and freer? Do you think that if you could hold that energy level for a minute or an hour or even a day that you would be drawing to you a different life? Would you be drawing to you your highest desire? A desire that you may not have even been able to give the slightest thought an hour ago? Where is the resistance of limited thinking and limited possibilities that was so prevalent before?
The resistance, which was supposed to be providing some sort of a function to keep you out of trouble, has actually kept you from finding your highest calling. By the vacancy of this judgmental voice you have found that it is impossible for your highest thoughts to bring anything but joy to you or anyone else. That's how the universe rolls!
