Game website reviews: Pogo.com

I have been a member of Pogo.com for more than a year now and the games are more fun than ever. Pogo is more than just a game site. It's a place to meet and chat with hundreds of thousands of interesting, fun-loving people. There are so many fun things about Pogo.com that it's difficult to know where to begin.

First of all, you get a character that represents you. You can decide exactly what your character looks like and you can use points you earn by playing games to buy clothes, accessories, costumes, pets, and all sorts of other things for your character. This character is also called a Pogo Mini.

On Pogo, you can play dozens of games for free, but most people I know get so hooked on Pogo that they pay the $35 fee and become a member which opens up a whole new Pogo world. As a member, you will be able to play hundreds of free games and you will have access to certain chat rooms for members only.

Pogo has games for everyone. Some of my favorites are Canasta, Bingo, Slots, Poker, Gin, Word Whomp, Pool, Bowling, Trivial Pursuit, Poppit, Monopoly, Yahtzee, Mahjong, Hearts, Solitaire, Backgammon, Hangman, Lottso, KenoPop, and Phlinx. These games are addictive and you will find yourself wanting to play more and more. As I said before, there are literally hundreds of games with different variations to select from on each game. There are quick games that only take a couple of minutes to complete and there are more involved games that can go on for hours if you want.

Pogo also gives away prizes. Some of the prizes are t-shirts, mugs, hats, and other little accessories, but they also give away some huge cash prizes. In many of the game rooms, you will see a jackpot amount that gradually increases at the top of the screen. At the end of each game, you can get a jackpot spin if you scored high enough. The jackpot spin will usually give you free tokens that can be used to buy things in the mini-mall for your character or you might be lucky enough to win the cash jackpot which can be hundreds or even thousands of dollars in real money. Okay, so I've never spoken with anyone who has won a large jackpot with Pogo, but several of my friends there have won smaller amounts that are under $300. Don't count on Pogo as being a way to earn money though because the cash winnings are few and far between. Each day there are over a million people who come and go on the Pogo site and only a few each day win cash prizes.

Pogo is great about rewarding people for their gaming abilities. In
