Where are you going?, they asked of me,
At such a quick and steady pace.
To Lodabar, I said to them.
To that dark and dreadful place,
But why go there? They said to me,
When you've already received your grace.
Why not stay here amongst us all,
In this bright and happy place?
So I told them then why I needed to go,
Because there was once a time,
When I was there myself you know,
But I left someone behind.
The Lord called to me when I was down,
In the pit of the devils heart,
So I said to Him, Lord here I am.
And He responded, my son depart.
Leapt up I did, with a glorious shout,
Though my heart, it felt much pain.
My wife was left behind you see,
Because she was of little faith.
So since that time I left her there,
I've prayed fervently everyday,
For the Holy Ghost to give me wisdom,
And a steady increase of faith.
He showed me then what I needed to know,
To bring her up from far behind,
That our flesh is one in His glorious eyes,
And through me she's sanctified.
So I'm off you see to reclaim what's mine,
And break the devil's hold.
Because in Jesus' name the power is in I,
To save her precious soul.
I'll see you all, when I return,
But I will not be alone.
Cause when I come back from Lodabar,
I'll bring my darling home.
