Taking care of your skin is an important part of cleansing, and should be done daily. The best way to take care of your skin is with natural products, many of which can already be found in your home. Many of these natural products can help prevent acne, hives, and other skin problems.
The number one reason skin often acts up and has problems is because it is lacking in vitamins and minerals. Many skin care products are full of chemicals that only make the problem worse, instead of better. So instead of using those products, try giving your skin the nutrition it so desperately needs with natural products that have no chemicals in them.
A great product for you to use is a banana, honey, and lemon juice mask. Mash a banana in a small container, add about 2 table spoons of honey, and 2 table spoons of lemon juice. Mix the mixture well. Wash your face with warm water, and apply the mask and leave for about 5 minutes. Rinse with cool water. Keep the mask stored in the refrigerator. It should keep for several days. When you need to use, warm about a tablespoon to room temperature.
The banana provides the skin with vitamins, and the honey will help to cleanse and also keep your skin soft. Lemon juice is also a great cleanser and will help clean out your pores.
Baking soda is another product you can use to clean your skin. Make a paste by placing about a teaspoon of baking soda in your palm and adding a small amount of water. Message into your skin, and rinse with cool water.
Other natural products can be applied to the skin to provide your skin with vitamins and minerals. Oatmeal is a great natural product, and can be ground and mixed with milk and honey to make a face mask. Nuts, including almonds are a great source of vitamins for your skin, as well as tomato juice, lemon juice, smashed cucumbers, and many other fruits and vegetables.
Drinking lots of water will help your skin. Your body is estimated to be about 70% water. Many times problem skin is due simply to lack of water.
Natural skin care products can also be purchased at stores that carry organic products. You can purchase chemical free mineral makeup, which will actually improve the skin, rather than destroying it. Mineral makeup can be purchased from both handmade storefronts such as Etsy.com, or you can use the makeup made by Bare Minerals.
The key to really improving your skin is to stay away from products that contain chemicals, and use natural soaps, face masks, and drink lots of water. Do this, and you will begin to notice a big improvement in just a few days!
