Does anyone still listen to this man? Never would I waste my time, and here is why:
It is rather spiteful and idiotic to publicly announce that you hope our newly elected President "fails". But by voicing these "shock-jock" comments designed to anger an already wounded and worried America is a brilliant tactic for Rush Limbaugh to use while securing at least hisownjob awhile longer. No doubt he won't need to worry about a layoff, foreclosure, or larger class sizes in the public school system.
No sane, normal, sensible American wants President Obama to really fail. Most of us are struggling to survive, worried daily, and have witnessed, if not themselves, at least a friend or family member lose a job, a house, or even both. Failure is not an option. Our new president won't be spending 40% of his term in office taking vacations away from the office. He won't allow for deregulation to continue. In fact, he wants those most responsible for participating in the creation of this mess during the Bush Administration to be held accountable.
Yes right now there are a lot of layoffs, foreclosures, and even local business owners are forced to close. We see them around our town, we all have vacant homes on our street. Who doesn't know anyone affected by this crisis? Socialism? No. Helping the majority of Americans with the greatest immediate needs is simply that. Slowly, President Obama and his plans, whom some experts call brilliant and necessary, will begin to benefit us all. Slowly the economy will improve. My faith in and respect for the President's plans and the intelligent competent people who surround him, has only increased since he took office.
Sadly we watch the aftermath of greed as the wealthy struggle to switch gears and learn to operate under a fair leader. Of course, they're fighting tax increases all the way. Regulation, checking to see who is doing or trying to get away with what, blowing the whistle, prosecuting and holding crooks to the same laws that apply to all of us are all a welcomed sign of improvement. These are all positive moves that send swift messages. Enough is enough. It will no longer be tolerated. Never before have we all been so aware. What were we all doing four years ago when Bush ran for his second term? "How fortunate for a government that the people it serves do not think". Adolf Hitler said that, but it sounds like it came from a more recent administration.
America needs to stay aware and continue to be involved in the election process
