Dear Chase
The phone rang
and my heart began to pound.
My hands began to shake.
I truly anticipated your voice.
One word they said attacked me.
My heart descended.
My eyes spilled rivers.
Despair overwhelmed me,
and made my knees weak.
Do you know how it feels,
to wake up, feeling like you want to die?
To plan your feeble attempt,
and feel guilt when you fail?
Well, I supposed you do.
You know,

"Loving brother and friend."
These words make me want to kill.
We both know you're much better than that.
Everyone surrounding me knows that,
so why does the silence hurt my ears?!
Do you know,
I feel worthless without you?
Do you know,
I miss you so much, it's eating through my soul?
If I didn't, why would I be talking to a stone?

Come to life

His sleep interrupted.
His wrinkled brow beads with cold sweat,
And knotted
