Memphis area is full of activities, fairs and festivals during fall. Apart from the city's musical heritage sites, museums and parks there is lots to do here in fall that is sure to entertain everyone from every age group.

Visit "the King" at Graceland

No visit is complete without a visit to Graceland, the home of legendary Elvis Presley. It is perhaps the most popular and most visited home in the whole country. There are tours every hour to take you through the superstar's journey from a regular teen to the king of rock by the means of pictures, videos, costumes and personal artifacts.




The Delta Fair and Music Festival

Recently started in 2008 this festival will take place from September 9 to 13 in year 2009. It will be full of all the usual fair activities like rides, carnival games, various food stalls and music concerts to keep everyone busy and entertained. Kids will have fun visiting the petting zoo and feeding baby animals. The hay maze will challenge their little brains and the painting wall will bring out their inner artist to life.




Germantown festival

Just outside the city of Memphis this little suburb holds this festival on the first weekend after Labor Day at Franklin Park. Activities provided include arts, crafts, carnival games, music and food. The highlight of the festival is weenie dachshund race, in the charity horse show arena, a kid favorite.




Cooper Young festival

It is usually held during last week of September at the cooper young intersection in Memphis. The highlights are art and craft vendors from all over the country. The music concerts and performances, delicious food and entertainment keep visitors busy for the day.




Mid-south Fair in Desoto County

With long history and tradition of more than 150 years, it is scheduled to take place this year from September 25 to October 4. It has been a major fall attractions for Memphis area visitors and residents during fall. With the rides, games, food and contests kids are sure to have a blast along with their parents.




The Corn maze at Memphis Agricenter

While there are plenty of Corn mazes in and around the city of Memphis this one at The Agricenter is probably one of the biggest and best of them. Other activities such as a Pumpkin Patch, Hay rides, Corn Cannon, bonfire complete with Smore's and Haunted Maize will leave the visitors wanting to come back again and again, and you can as the maze is open from September 13 to November 1 every evening
