Are video games corrupting our children

This is computer age and every child including those just born is already computer literate. It is not surprising since technology has changed the lifestyle of many people including children since computer has been introduced and used worldwide. What is annoying though is that video games of all kinds have become very accessible to children. There are no restrictions in video games. Small children could play video games that are not supposed to be for them.

In the community where I live, you could hear children uttering words that adults don't even use in public. Video games are corrupting the minors. Children play video games then imitate what they play. The brutal scenes, the sexy scenes, the obscene words and all the evil works that children see in videos all contribute in the corruption of their young mind. As a result, kids of today have lost their good manners and right conduct. The respect they had for the elders had been forgotten. A lot of children of today are rude to elders and what's worst their discipline had gone from bad to worse.

Children easily imitate what they see and think that what are happening in the video games that they play are normal things and that they could do it in real life. If the character they are playing portrays a bad character then it would have a bad effect on the children's mind. All the negative traits that the character portrays in the video games that children play would be embedded into their minds and would have a part of their upbringing.

The greed for power, money and all material things are often what the video games tell to the world.
Children who play the video games develop the urge and determination to win the game. They sometimes become very edgy and easily get annoyed about simple things. If they cannot conquer their enemies in the video games they play they get so mad and sometimes smash the computer in their anger. What kind of adults would these kids become? They start being rough, hard-headed and undisciplined at a young age.
How much more if they grow into adults?
I just hope they would mature and become better in the future.

This computer age has done more damage in corrupting the young minds of the children than given them good. Countless children are now addicted to video games and a lot of them have dropped from school. Computer addiction has become a problem among some parents of today just like drug addiction.
