Love is the most powerful emotion in the universe. It is the glue that binds us all as human beings. With out this fundamental force their woud be no compassion in the world. We would be like the people in the popular movie "The Body Snatchers". They were like walking zombies that existed just to keep their bodies moving. The first thing that we must be aware of is the true meaning of love. The second is how love affects the different types of relationships we are involved in as we experience our every day life. We have a unconditional love in which we feel for our children, mother, father, siblings and our closest friends. In this type of love we exhibit a very compassionate form of love in which we usually put our loved ones needs above our own. This type of love we usually don't look for any type of reward. The years of bonding with the people in this category have re-assured us of what they are willing to do for us. The second and more complicated type of love is intimacy. This is a love between two individuals that share not only their deepest most inner feelings, but they express it through sexual pleasures and desires.

In these intimate relationships sometimes there is a very thin line between love and lustful infactuations. We live in a very superficial society. Physical beauty is usually the first aspects we notice in a person. This is especially true with the male species. Men tend to focus mostly on a female attributes even before knowing anything about her character. If she is willing to allow him to buy her a drink or dance with him in a night club he gets a euphoric feeling from this. Sometimes these physical connections between two people can be so powerful that they forget that their outer beauty has nothing to do with their personality. They literally wait until problems arise in their relationship before they start learning some of the most basic things about each other.

Sex is often overated and overly misused in our society. Advertisers are always using enticing sexual ads to get us to buy their products. Having some one physically attractive often feeds our ego more than it does our soul. Both participants in the relationship would have to be very honest about the relationship if they want to know where each of them stand right away. They both would need to let the other one know whether or not they want a real relationship or just a booty call. Because of the male sexual drive this type of honesty rarely happens.
