Volunteering is probably one of the few things you can do where you receive more than you give. It can be a very rewarding experience, not only for the people you volunteer for but for yourself too. You can try out different kinds of work areas, meet new people, and make new relationships; it helps you grow personally as well as professionally expanding new possibilities for your career.

Big cities like Memphis TN are always in need of volunteers to work for many different organizations and agencies. Most commonly Hospitals, senior centers, Schools, Church programs, Homeless shelters, and public services such as libraries need and can use volunteers to run efficiently. Here are some of the places in Memphis TN where you can find volunteer opportunities.

1. Memphis Zoo

If you are an animal lover and want spend some quality time feeding and taking care of variety of animals this is a place to be. Prepare food for animals, clean them, and be friends with them. You can also work at the gift shop or as a special event helper during holidays.
