The city of Las Vegas had earned the title of Sin City
in its heyday, based on many of the activities which had been there, including adult entertainment and gambling. And although many adult activities are still prominent in certain parts of the city, there have also been redevelopment efforts which have turned it into a family-friendly city. There's plenty to do within the city itself, as well as in the outskirts. The top thirty destinations are detailed here, which cater to families and their small children.

1) Adventure
Canyon at Buffalo Bill's, Address: 31900 S. Las Vegas Blvd., Primm, NV 89019, Tel: (702) 679-RIDE or (800) FUN-STOP. Adventure Canyon is 40 miles south of the city and is a great option if one would like to travel away from the strip for a bit. The Adventure Canyon
is a log flume ride with a 35 foot drop and has an interactive Wild West style shooting gallery that participants shoot at while on the flume. There are other rides for the smaller set, including the Frog Hopper, which is a miniature version of the Turbo Drop and designed for kids 36" tall and over.

2) Adventuredome at Circus Circus, Address: 2880 S. Las Vegas Blvd.

Las Vegas, NV 89109, Tel: (702) 794-3939 or (800) 444-2472. Web address: http://www.circuscircus.com. This is for all age groups, but height requirements vary by ride. There are special children's sections. Rides such as The Sling Shot, Disk O and Canyon Blaster are there to enjoy. The "Fun House Express" is an Imax Ride Film in 4-D. There is also miniature golf, laser tag, arcade games, clown shows and bumper cars.

3) The Aquarium at the Silverton Hotel, Address: 3333 Blue Diamond Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89139, Tel: (702) 263-7777. Web address: http://www.silvertoncasino.com/categories/22C7A963-B DB0-351A-4F421BA4159EDA92/aquarium.html. An 117,000 gallon curved acrylic tank awaits excited visitors. Stingrays and three types of sharps swim amongst the 4,000 fish. Every afternoon and evening Thursdays through Sundays, another fish swims there, which are ladies dressed as mermaids swimming with the fish in fifteen minute shows.
