For a city that made it's name as the gambling capital of the world, there are a tremendous amount of destinations and activities that are fun for the whole family. Many of the Casino hotels offer fun and interesting events that kids will love. With resort pools, fair rides and themed shows there are a surprising array of choices, after all, Las Vegas is home to plenty of families full time.
Dining out is great value and often buffet style, making it perfect for the picky eater, and a great way to feed those growing preteens who seem to be constantly hungry. Most of the money made in Vegas comes from the Casino's, to lure in customers the big resort hotels offer some phenomenal pricing. This can be a great way for a family to stretch their vacation dollars. However, there are also plenty of activities for kids that are not based in the casinos.

This is the must see destination for families with kids under 10. This state of the art children's museum offers hands on interactive exhibits, experiments and play areas. With activities designed and targeted at specific age groups it offers developmentally appropriate fun educational activities. It is value priced and centrally located. And should be number one on any family itinerary.
Town Square

This is a great destination. Shopping, entertainment and great food all in one location. The children's play area is fantastic. Pack a swimsuit and a towel to play in the fountains, explore the kid sized maze and spend an afternoon playing with the kids in this well thought out play area. Town square is the premier family evening destination. There is a state of the art movie theater and a huge array of family friendly dining options.

If you have older kids, who are total game monsters, this is the place to take them. Game Works is jam packed full of the latest arcade style games. Entrance is free, but once you are in there you will need to keep a tight reign on the budget. It is an action packed venue, and it may pay to buy the play all day option and plan to be there for a while if games are your thing.

You need to be 16 to drive the Gran Prix cars, so that may need to be just for Mom and Dad, but for younger kids
