Do you want to look like an international fashion icon without breaking the bank? Well with this season's current fashion trends, you don't need a King's ransom just a few insider tips. The look this year is all about exotic florals, bold colors and retro prints. Also, many of the hottest designers are adding a splash of metallic with their pieces to simply make them explode off the runway. These elements combine to make a fresh new look especially when you pair them with the light, airy fabrics that are being utilized.

When incorporating florals into your wardrobe this season, think grand. The look that you want to achieve is that of an exotic retreat, filled with gigantic blooms, leafy tropical plants and vibrant blurred floral motifs. If that look is too bold for you, then consider scaling it down by pairing a brazen floral scarf with a solid top and coordinating pants. Another sheek style that is back in fashion is the 70s retro prints. All you need to do is walk through Harrods and you will quickly spot the ever so stylish tunics, roman togas and long flowing skirts.

Color, color and more color is what you want. The bolder, the better but specific choices to look for are sunflower yellow, lime green, coral, as well as, the ever popular hot pink. If you want to add just a splash of these colors, then try incorporating some of the splendid accessories being featured. Another must have is an all white pant suit or dress. White is a fantastic stable color because you can build upon it with other elements from your wardrobe whether that is jewelry, colorful scarves, a cutting edge belt or even a flamboyant offbeat pin.

As I mentioned earlier, designers are adding a hint of metallic this season. Some of the more popular ways to showcase this is with a pair of glamorous bling jeans or a jewel encrusted belt. Laguna Beach is showcasing a hot collection that adds just the right amount of pizzazz. They have teamed up with Swarovski and are taking the vintage denim look to a whole new level.

Another area that you will see a profusion of embellishments is women's footwear. Designers such as Prada, Jimmy Choo, Christian Louboutin, Salvatore Ferragamo and others will be transforming your feet into works of art. Expect to see an array of patterns like polka dots, florals, stripes, checks and others. Also, look for this sophisticated footwear to be adorned with things such as bows, buckles, feathers, jewels, and flowers. If you can imagine it, you will see it this year. Sky's the limit.

Regardless of your personal fashion taste, I encourage you to push the envelope this season. A spontaneous trip to your local vintage shop, paired with a few contemporary must haves could just be the ticket. So be adventurous, mix and match. You might just be surprised at the wonderfully fabulous creations that you envision and then turn into reality.
