Beauty has an object, that few ever really notice on the pages of magazines, billboards, or even runways.
The line of best curve on a face or figure is truly an amazing feat that we all seem to notice at one point or another in our everyday lives. The exquisite plumpness of a woman's lips, such as Anjelina Jolie's, shows each of us that there is something in this world that we can measure in the detail of a face. It is aid that "Helen of Troy is the face that launched a thousand ships." The Iliad shows us that not only men will fight for love, but also for the beauty that lies within each woman. Beauty is within the woman, just as strength lies within the man. Because society almost worships beauty, we find it on billboards, and covers of magazines, and everyday when we see the love of our lives. Do we cherish the beauty that lies next to us or do we look away and ignore it?
I pray that beauty is found within us and by us, so that we can cherish not only the beauty that is in fashion and style, but also the beauty that we see in everyday life. Women do not always need make-up to display their beauty, case in point," I firmly believe that a woman that is with child is the most beautiful woman in any room. " We need to rethink some of the titles and definitions of what would be termed beautiful in modern society, because too often I see those that are full of beauty right before me. The woman standing in line at a grocery check out line could very well be the beauty that a simple man could cherish always. We all should stop and take a breath, then exhale slowly and take a long look around for it could be at a desk in in an office, or behind the counter at the bank, or standing in line at the movies where we see the beauty of a lifetime.
Finally, beauty is not just in the eye of the beholder as someone once said. It helps sell movies, cosmetics, hair products, vehicles, and the list continues. By and large, beauty; does so much for our lives that we rarely see it. If we care to open our collective eyes to the world around us we can see it in the grass that grows, and the wind that blows from west to east and back again. When we stop to look, we will see all the beauty that once before we did not see. Now that we see the collective beauty in everything, should we all acknowledge it, and let the world know or should we whisper it to our souls and give thanks that we finally can see.
