Behold, for herein lies the top ten movies that every guy must see. There is great debate concerning the best movies of all time. Rest assured that this article will finally put all cinematic arguments to rest. When it comes to guy movies, the trilogy of basic themes must be considered. The first being action. This simply makes sense because testosterone is required in order to be male. Category number two is sports. Women would agree that drama is an important consideration and that is exactly why sports must be included. The final piece is comedy. We might as well enjoy life while we are here, and if we were to live it within some of the comedies listed below then all would be well.
#10 Braveheart
Say what you will about Mel Gibson, for it is true that he is a bit goofy, but this epic movie contains all of the components of pure, cinematic gold. This is a discussion of guy films, and the fight sequences in this film are raw and vivid. The musical score builds as the sons of Scotland blaze headstrong towards the massive enemy lines of England. Heads will roll and limbs will fly, but the patriotic hearts cannot resist William Wallace's call of "Freedom!". Not to mention true love and mooning the enemy before battle. This one is tough to beat.
#9 Rudy
Sports classics must be included in the list of guy films. If they were not included then a woman would never have the pleasure of seeing her man cry during a movie. If you are not careful, this one will trigger those lacrimal glands at multiple points throughout the story, so be forewarned. When Rudy, five-foot-nothin' and a-hundred-and-nothin', first steps into the Fighting Irish locker room and recites that famous speech in front of the beaming eyes of the groundskeeper, the viewer is forced to hold back a few quick sniffles. But when he runs onto that field, with his former classmate, his brother, and father in the stands, forget it because those floodgates are opening no matter how macho you are.
#8 Mallrats
There may be some argument here. Even the director, Kevin Smith, is rumored to have questioned the cinematic genius of this cult comedy classic. Say what you will, but when the entire dialogue of a movie can be recited by a multitude of many, its immature nature can only further perpetuate its simplistic staying power. So many classic scenes: Willam and the sailboat/schooner, Brodie and the stink-palm, the topless fortune teller, Jay doing the berzerker in front of the baby kitties, Silent Bob and the Jedi mind
