If someone told you that you were born to succeed, would you believe it?
I asked myself this question for years. Still, I could never find the answer to this question no matter how hard I tried. When I posed the question to friends and acquaintances, their answers were always less than optimistic; in fact, to some of them, that I would even ask this question was even rather humorous. From then on, I decided to pursue my search for the answer on my own quietly. Along the way, I read books, searched the Internet, meditated, and even prayed for the answer. Nothing worked, but my desire to find the answer was so great and so intense, that one night my persistence paid off.
Mind you, I am not a religious person, however, I am spiritually oriented. So one night, I decide to peruse the Bible to see if I can find an answer to my question. Eventually, after a while, I came to a verse that said, "Ask and you shall receive; Seek and you shall find; Knock and the door shall be opened." For whatever reason the verse left an impression, and it kept replaying itself in my head over and over and over again over days, weeks, and months: "Ask and you shall receive; Seek and you shall find; Knock and the door shall be opened."
Then one day I had an interesting thought; it was one of those "What if..." thoughts. And it came to me like this: "What if...even before you were born, you underwent an event which guaranteed that you would be born to succeed in life. Would you believe it?"
Naturally I asked myself, "What do you mean?" No sooner had I said that, when the following monologue unfolded in my mind:
"You have been asking me this question for a very long time. Now you will know the answer.
Yes, you were born to succeed.
You see, you participated in the most competitive race you would ever engage in even before you were born! No other event later in your life on earth would even compare to this event. This event was your race to be born.
You ran this race, and so did everyone else who was ever born. You will never encounter greater competition on earth than the competition you faced in the race to be born. If you were victorious then, and of course you were because you were born, then you are guaranteed victory over any other situation or condition that you may encounter in life.
In the race to be born you competed against millions of other beings who were vying for the same reward as you, the chance to be born. And you won. And you won that race because I chose you to be born. And from
